Lead Product UX Designer

We are seeking a Lead UX Designer who is passionate about human-centered design and sustainability. Youʼll play a key role in shaping intuitive, engaging, and purpose-driven experiences across our product suite.

As our Lead UX Designer, you will drive the strategy and execution of user experience across our digital products.

You will lead design initiatives from concept through delivery, ensuring our solutions are user-centric, visually compelling, and aligned with business objectives.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor designers, and set the standard for design excellence, drawing inspiration from top-tier product organisations.

• Lead end-to-end design projects, from research and ideation through to prototyping, testing, and final implementation, ensuring delivery of high impact user experiences.
• Conduct and synthesise user research, usability testing, and data analysis to deeply understand user needs and inform strategic design decisions.
• Define and champion the productʼs design vision, ensuring consistency and quality end to end across the whole BOOM! Power digital experience for homeowners, enterprises and installers.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve design systems and guidelines, ensuring scalable and cohesive product experiences.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and technical constraints.
• Facilitate design workshops, critiques, and cross-functional meetings to drive alignment and innovation.
• Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and best practices in UX and UI design throughout the product lifecycle.
• Communicate design rationale and present work to senior leadership and cross-functional partners, influencing decision-making at all levels.
• Stay current with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to ensure our products remain innovative and competitive.

• Extensive experience with product/UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating leadership and delivery of successful projects in SaaS, marketplaces, or tech-driven environments with demonstrable results on conversion focused UX improvements.
• Deep expertise in user-centered design, lead user research and testing, champion the customer voice across the product, and thinking holistically and strategically about the experience across the platform.
• Proficiency in Figma and other design/prototyping tools, in order to create customer experiences through wireframes, prototypes, user flows and high fidelity designs.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills; able to influence and align diverse teams.
• Experience developing and maintaining design systems in fast-paced environments.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, proactive in identifying opportunities, and skilled at balancing user needs with business objectives.
• Enjoy collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional departments to explore and test ideas, through to implementation and post-launch.
• Use data to drive decisions, from both qualitative and quantitative data, A/B tests and experiments to guide the approach to work.
• A bias for action and the ability to thrive in fast-moving, mission-driven environments.
